Confidence and trade secrets
'Confidence' is best defined as 'know-how'. For example, confidence can be any form of technological improvement or knowledge which is kept secret and can be used for a commercial advantage. It could be keeping the recipe for a best selling soft drink confidential or be an improved manufacturing means to produce a product. This does not take account of confidential information in, say, letters and diaries which does not fall within know-how.
