Glossary - D
Dublin Core
Dublin Core provides a small and simple group of metadata elements. It is often used to bring together a variety of more granular metadata so that collections of different kinds can be searched together. For example, if archival descriptions in EAD and library records in MARCXML were both coverted to Dublin Core, they could be cross-searched.
