CLIR - Council on Library Resources
CLIR was formed in 1997 through the merger of the Council on Library Resources and the Commission on Preservation and Access. The organisation's goals are to foster new approaches to the management of digital and non-digital information resources so that they will be available in the future; to expand leadership capacity in the information professions; and to analyse changes in the information landscape and help practitioners prepare for them.
